Ingredients of Pumpkin Soup

  • 1/2 kilograms pumpkin
  • 1/2 teaspoon black salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 2 cup water
  • salt as required
  • 2 cup coconut milk
  • 2 onion
  • 4 teaspoon butter
  • 4 clove
  • 2 piece ginger

Step 1 Wash pumpkin and chop it well Wash the pumpkin under running water and peel it. Then slice the pumpkin into thin slices and keep it aside. Then slice the onions and keep aside until further needed.

Step 2 Saute the onions and ginger Take a deep bottomed pan and heat butter in it. Once the butter melts, add some cloves and saute the mixture. Then add the sliced onions and grated ginger. Saute the contents for a few minutes.

Step 3 Grind the pumpkin mixture to perfection Add sliced pumpkin and salt in the pan and saute till the pumpkin gets tender. Once done, remove the pan from flame. Now take a mixer grinder and add the contents of the pan to the mixer, followed by 2 cups of water. Grind the mixture to a paste.

Step 4 Garnish and serve the soup hot! Next transfer the paste in a deep bottomed pan and let it simmer. Add coconut milk, cumin powder and black salt. Stir well to mix the ingredients. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
